Surprises and such

I picked up Dylan after I got off work last night and then got home to discover my kitchen was a complete wreck but for a good cause. Chris had purchased the lights for the kitchen and proceeded to put them in along with another plug and a couple of switches. I absolutely love my new lights but I don't love the mess he left behind for me to clean up. I didn't go to bed until almost 4 am and then I woke up late today (almost 1pm) and I didn't have time to do much of anything other than get ready for work so I will have a mostly destroyed kitchen waiting for me when I get home from work today.

It was almost 70 degrees when I got to work today at 3pm and when I went outside for a few minutes at 5:30, the temperature had already dropped to 51 and the wind was howling. It still is howling which I guess has a lot to do with the arctic air that is pressing down from the north and is also the cause of all the rumors of snow fall tonight. For the record, I don't think we will get any snow. I could be wrong but I really think if we get anything it will be a bit of rain/freezing rain. It's too early in the year for snow.

It has been busier tonight than the past couple of nights which I am counting as a blessing. I have the next 2 days off after today so maybe I will be able to get some work done and get Beth's computer shipped off to the service center for them to look at and fix. We are supposed to be going to get a new bed tomorrow. I guess the weather will play a factor as to whether that trip happens tomorrow or not.

I have 5 hours left in my shift and I can't stop yawning. It may be time to go outside for a shot of cold air.
