7 Quick Takes # 50

Chris and I spent today running errands and knocking things off of our combined to do list. Bank, drivers license, hunting license, dropped a truck off at the shop, got the oil changed in my truck, did some shopping and decided to get pizza for supper because it's exhausting to drive all day.

It's amusing to me how if I take the truck to get an oil change by myself, they try to sell me a gazillion dollars worth of products in addition to the oil change but with him with me, they merely changed the oil, collected the payment and told us to have a nice day. That's very suspicious to me.

We spent some time in the woods today. Not an extraordinary amount of time because it was hot as could be but he showed me where he is going to put his tree stand and we did some walking. I saw the prettiest purple berries and then we spent 30 minutes googling purple berries in North Carolina to figure out what kind of berry it was. They were called beauty berries and it's still up in the air as to whether or not they are actually edible.

I was going to offer to help my sister move some of her stuff but she has lied so much about when she has to be out and all of that, I can't trust anything she says. Plus, she decided to not answer my message for several hours and by the time she did, we were already knee deep in errands of our own. I'm not sure what she's doing and I'm not going to ask her anymore. She'll figure this mess out on her own.

They are calling for stray thunderstorms all weekend. I'm hoping we get them because we really need them. I'm not going to hold my breath though because somehow, rain always seems to go right around us.

My plans for tomorrow include a trip to the library to pick up the books that are on hold for Elizabeth and Chris. I have to hurry up and get to reading because I have a lot of stuff that is due soon. I've been doing quite a bit of reading here lately and that makes me happy.

Beth's birthday is next week. I'm looking forward to it and I can guarantee that she is because everyday she counts down the number of days that are left. 6 days until her 13th birthday.
