My birthday was lovely. We made heart attack spaghetti and I made myself a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. It was as good as I hoped it would be.
My present came on my birthday. I had received an email the day before telling me my order was delayed by 2 weeks but then in the afternoon, while I was mixing up the cake, the UPS driver knocked on the sun room door. So while prepared for disappointment, I was pleasantly surprised instead.
The next few weeks at work are going to be a bit on the crazy side. We are about to be short a night auditor and so everyone is going to have to fill in. It may be interesting. I don't like doing night audit but I'll do it occasionally.
I finished and returned a set of books. I have the newest J.D. Robb waiting to be started. I have to read it quickly though because it's a 7 day loan and her stuff is always requested which means there is no renewing of it.
Speaking of libraries: I told Elizabeth if she would do a few chores, it would earn her a trip to the library before I go to work tomorrow. She did the chores so I will uphold my end of the bargain and take her to the library before work. I'm thrilled that she loves to read as much as she does so taking her to the library is not a chore.
I am going to have to work for the next 8 days straight to be able to have Chris's birthday and homecoming Sunday off. It'll be worth it though.
I have a post in draft that I may finish sometime tomorrow and post. It was supposed to be my birthday post but I was too lazy to finish it on my actual birthday.
