what a difference a few months makes

Things around our house have been very interesting the past few months. I mostly gave up writing here a month or so before things got crazy and just never resumed. As with everything else, I simply got tired.

I went to the doctor this past Friday (May 27th) and in addition to upping my medication dosages, she wrote me a prescription for a sleep medicine. I probably was averaging about 3 hours a night prior to the appointment and I had tried every sleep medicine on the market before I caved and asked her to help me. I can honestly say that I have been sleeping pretty decently since that appointment. I am ever so grateful for this because I was miserable.

I have managed to keep up with my reading. I'm not reading as much as I would like but I do get some in and that keeps me sane.

My sister and my niece have been staying with us since the middle of April. It's been a transition; not all bad though. Just different having other people in the house.

Work has been steadily going along. I love my job and realize that I am in a fortunate position to love what I do. People can irritate but then you have someone come along who makes your entire day and you forget about the irritating ones. At least that's how it works for me.

Maybe now that I've broken the ice for myself, I'll return to this space a little more often.
