GIST - The Sunday Edition # 171

Things I am grateful for today

1. The rain. It's been a dry summer so far & the past 2 days have brought relief from that with a good amount of rain.

2. A plan for this surprise upcoming move. Details soon when my head stops spinning.

3. Work is going well. I love what I do although I do not love the drama that some people insist upon creating.

4. School starts back in less than a month. I will be happy for a return to routine for Elizabeth although I have greatly enjoyed our time together this summer.

5. Time to read. I have been plowing through books like someone is paying me to read. That's the kind of job I would love to have.

1. Getting the yard mowed & cleaned up so that stubborn man of mine won't do it on his days off. He's still recovering from a torn muscle in his leg. It was would probably heal faster if he would stop trying to do so much.

2. Home cooked meals. Tonight I am making barbeque pork loin & vegetables. I like to cook; I just don't get to do it often enough.

3. A tidy house. I've done laundry & completely cleaned the kitchen & my bathroom & my bedroom. I've been up since 6:15 & have done all this in addition to mowing the grass.

4. Coffee... The reason why I have managed to do much today.

5. Sister visits. Mine will be off work here in a few minutes & we will have afternoon coffee before she goes home & does school work. I enjoy these visits.
